Her Excellency has strongly advocated for gender equality, environmental awareness and the abolition of violence. Notably, in 2018 Madam Débora organized the “350” March for Climate, highlighting the global impact for Climate Change. Through programs that encourage active citizenship, she has emphasised the importance of engaging the youth as their role is crucial in addressing societal challenges. She has demonstrated her unwavering support for NGOs and initiatives in Cape Verde with interest in social inclusion and human rights at all levels.
